This live, daylong online workshop is designed for both newcomers and those familiar with Marion Woodman’s work. It offers a grounded introduction for those just beginning, while inviting returning explorers to deepen and personalize their connection to Woodman’s embodied Jungian approach—an approach that treats the body as the home of the soul and an essential ally in psychological and spiritual life.

Together we’ll review major themes from Woodman’s work, including: the sacredness of the body; dreams and the creative imagination as trustworthy guides; the “inner marriage” as a developmental task and path toward wholeness; and Woodman’s understanding of addiction, perfectionism, and compulsions as concretized spiritual hunger—deep archetypal longing diverted into literal behaviors. While Woodman’s map of conscious femininity (Maiden, Mother, Virgin, Crone) and her perspective on the dark feminine are rooted in archetypal language, these themes speak to universal processes of transformation, growth, and wholeness relevant to all genders. Transformation is possible for everyone, and the love that makes it possible is at the heart of this work.

We will also honor the foundational contributions of Woodman’s close colleagues—Mary Hamilton (dancer) and Ann Skinner (voice teacher and mask maker) —whose co-created BodySoul Rhythms™ approach brought together Jungian theory, dreams, movement, voice, theater, art, and ritual in a depth-oriented container.

In addition to a presentation with images, participants will be guided through structured, accessible practices: active imagination in movement, dream-based inquiry, drawing, reflective writing, and poetry.

Whether you are encountering these practices for the first time or revisiting them, the workshop invites everyone to bring their curiosity, questions, and insights. These explorations are non-performative and invitational. In a time when many feel overwhelmed, fragmented, or numb, creativity can serve as a nourishing practice of attention/awareness—helping us befriend the unknown, restore vitality, and find meaningful form for the new life that is emerging. There will also be opportunities for sharing and reflection, supporting both foundational understanding and deeper integration.

No prior knowledge of Jung or Woodman’s work is required. Optional suggested reading will be provided.

This program warmly welcomes people of all genders who wish to:

  • Learn core concepts in Woodman’s embodied Jungian framework
  • Explore psyche–soma connection through guided practices
  • Approach perfectionism/addiction symbolically and compassionately
  • Work with dreams and inner images in creative modalities
  • Engage practices you can continue beyond the workshop

Registration information will be posted here when it becomes available.
