“The symbols of the self arise in the depths of the body.” C.G. Jung
“In the deepest sense, we all dream not of ourselves, but out of what lies between us and the other.” C.G. Jung
“This is your body, your greatest gift, pregnant with wisdom you do not hear, grief you thought was forgotten, and joy you have never known.” Marion Woodman
Our one-day, experiential workshop will support the exploration of dreams, the body, self and soul through movement, art, and conscious relating. This integrative approach can offer a safe and powerful promotion of affective mirroring and embodied presence, which provide a foundation for the development of consciousness in the cells, and a sense of wellbeing and belonging in the world.
In this workshop, our morning exploration will be through Dreamdancing, engaging essential elements in your dream through a safe, inner-directed movement process, in the presence of a witness.
In the afternoon, we will explore The Dance of Three, an application of Authentic Movement further developed by Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman’s BodySoul Rhythms® approach, involving a mover/client, a mirror/therapist and a container/supervisor. Moving to music in groups of three, each will have an opportunity to move, witness, contain, and reflect on his/her embodied experience.
