This group is designed for women engaged in deepening their bodysoul explorations. Now in its twelfth year, there are openings for the 2013-2014 session, beginning in September.
Beginning with an introductory weekend, monthly three-hour sessions (Friday, 10am-1pm) offer participants the opportunity to enrich their explorations of body, psyche, and spirit through an integrative Jungian depth-oriented approach. Elements include working with dreams in the body (Dreamdancing®), Authentic Movement (“active imagination in movement”), Somatics and creative methods from Marion Woodman’s BodySoul Rhythms® approach. Myths, fairy tales, and Jungian theory enhance our discoveries.
Opening to our embodied, authentic voice is also a potent part of women’s individuation process — a resonant gateway to the unconscious and an essential capacity for finding our standpoint, expressing our heart, and living more fully in the world.
Master voice teacher, Ann Skinner, will join us to offer an intensive weekend in working with the natural voice. Ann co-created the BodySoul Rhythms© approach with Jungian analyst, Marion Woodman, and dancer, Mary Hamilton. Emerita Head of Voice Emerita at The Stratford Shakespearean Festival and formerly Head of Voice at the National Theater School of Canada, Ann brings an amazing genuineness and profound depth and creativity to her work, which she offers in many countries. Bring your desire to feel more at home in your body, and the courage to live your dreams! In an atmosphere of acceptance, curiosity, and care we engage the body’s vital energies, contacting the deep feminine and learning to live her wisdom in our daily lives.
